ParaBed™ Portable Restraint Bed (US Patent #6,772,764) is our most versatile and powerful extension of Soft Circle™ technology.  It transforms almost any standard bed into a restraint bed in about a minute.  It includes the Walkabout™ Restraint and Transport System™ and the PillowPro™ Upper Body Protection System™.

Features:

• ParaBed is a modular self-contained portable unit that you that is brought to where your client is being physically held.  It is capable of carrying up to 5 tons and attaches to almost any common bed used in human services with the simplicity and ease of seatbelts.
• ParaBed is packed after each use and rolls up for easy storage so it is always ready when you need it.
• When used with Handle With Care's physical restraint training, ParaBed gives as few as two people the unprecedented ability to physically restrain and apply our SoftCircle Restraints™ in just under 4 minutes.  The centerpiece of HWC's physical holding technology is the Primary Restraint Technique (PRT)®.  The PRT is only physical technique in US Patent history (US Patent #6,273,091 "Apparatus and method for safely maintaining a restraining hold on a person").
• ParaBed can be used with most other prone and supine physical holding methods.  The client must be kept face up while on ParaBed.
• ParaBed is available in two versions: "Ready to Deploy" ParaBed is designed for agencies that do not have a bed specifically designated for restraint use.  "Dedicated" ParaBed is for agencies that use a dedicated restraint bed like the Duramax Bed, which is always kept in a staff secure location.  Our sales staff will help you decide which version is best for you.
• ParaBed is constructed with durable waterproof parapack fabric.  Parapack sanitizes with standard aerosol disinfectants and is machine washable.
